I spent a day aboard This is Us, a beautiful Holland Jachtbouw built schooner, in St. Barths and turned it into a book. You can view it here or even order it.
Two local J105 fleets gathered in New York Harbor recently and they hired me to photograph the event. The weather was less than ideal. Cloudy with sprinkles and medium winds on day 1 and foggy and virtually no wind on day 2. However, sometimes mother nature provides nice surprises and the foggy conditions on Sunday made for some nice photos. Here’s one of my favorites from the weekend.
The St. Barths Bucket attracts the largest sailing superyachts from around the world for three days of racing around the Caribbean Island of St. Barths. It is the largest gathering of sailing superyachts in the western hemisphere. This year is the 25th anniversary of the Bucket, which began in Nantucket, and it is the 15th anniversary of the St. Barths version of the event. Beautiful yachts in a beautiful location. And yes, the photos are for sale.
During the St. Barth’s Bucket I spent one day aboard Meteor, a lovely 160 foot schooner built by Royal Huisman in The Netherlands. Incredible.
Scuttlebutt, the sailing website posted a bunch of my photos from Race Week.
You can check them out here.
